Senior adults constitute a large segment of North American Christianity, yet they are often “missed” in the ministries provided by the church. The Grace Seventh-day Adventist® Church works hard to care for our senior adults, especially those who are homebound or in a residential care facility. Our pastor, elders, deacons, and deaconesses make regular in-home visits to our senior adults, providing spiritual support and ensuring they receive proper care. Every quarter, in-home communion services are provided to those who are homebound and unable to attend them at the church.
We also live-stream our Sabbath services in order to make them more accessible to our senior adults. If you would like to get connected or need help finding the right technology to enable you to get connected, reach out to us by clicking here.

Located in the heart of West Knoxville, atop a hill among mature pine trees, dogwoods, maples and magnolias, you’ll find Little Creek, one of East Tennessee’s most reputable nursing facilities. Originally founded in 1940, by Seventh-day Adventists®, Leland and Alice Straw and Roger and Genevieve Goodge, Little Creek began as a self-supporting school, dairy farm, and medical institution. Their Christian beliefs and principles are still an integral part of Little Creek today. Seventh-day Adventists® believe the key to wellness lies in a life of balance and temperance. Nature creates a wealth of good things that lead to vibrant health. A vegetarian diet, pure water, fresh air and sunlight—promote clean, healthy lives. This is the kind of environment that Little Creek has to offer senior adults in need of residential care.
Dementia, and specifically Alzheimer’s Disease, is a serious, growing problem for many senior adults. Click the link above for memory care resources in the Knoxville area.
