Financial Assistance

Everyone experiences financial strain at times and may need external assistance. In response to God’s call in the Bible to care for the poor and oppressed, we have established a community services ministry of compassion for people in need.

If you are experiencing some kind of financial hardship in your life and are in need of assistance, please download and complete our Financial Assistance Application. When it’s finished, please scan and email it along with your supporting documentation to knoxgracesda@gmail.com. We will process your request for financial assistance at the next monthly meeting of our administrative board and/or finance committee. Please note that our church cannot provide financial assistance without a completed application.

The Samaritan Center: 9231 Lee Highway, Ooltewah, TN 37363, 423-238-7777, www.thesamaritancenter.net. The Samaritan Center employs caseworkers to determine who needs assistance and how much, providing help based on individuals’ financial situations, not their religious affiliations. The supplies the Center uses to help others are sometimes purchased with donated funds, sometimes shared by community members, and sometimes collected through drives organized by area churches, schools, businesses, and other organizations. The Samaritan Center operates in the spirit of the inn in the biblical story of the Good Samaritan. It is a community resource where individuals and families from more than 70 area agencies, businesses, civic organizations, schools, and churches of all denominations come together to minister to people in crisis. The Samaritan Center provides help with utilities, rent, or life-sustaining medications; food through their Community Food Pantry; clothing, furniture, and household items through their thrift stores; cleaning supplies and personal care products that cannot be purchased with food stamps; layettes filled with necessities for newborns; school supplies; Christmas toys; and much, much more!
